miRkit: R framework analyzing miRNA PCR array data

Abstract Objective The characterization of microRNAs (miRNA) in recent years is an important advance the field gene regulation. To this end, several approaches for miRNA expression analysis and various bioinformatics tools have been developed over last few years. It a common practice to analyze PCR Array data using commercially available software, mostly due its convenience ease-of-use. Results In work we present miRkit, open source framework written R, that allows comprehensive RT-PCR data, from processing raw functional produced results. main goal proposed tool provide assessment samples’ quality, perform normalization by endogenous exogenous miRNAs, facilitate differential enrichment analysis. offers fast execution times with low memory usage, freely under ΜΙΤ license https://bio.tools/mirkit . Overall, miRkit full targeted genes, specifically designed support popular miScript (Qiagen) technology.
